Inclusion includes the empowerment of all elements of society, regardless of background, gender, religion or socio-economic status. Diversity empowerment is an important approach in achieving inclusion, which aims to appreciate, utilize and strengthen the diversity that exists in society.
Cooperatives provide opportunities for their members to work together, share resources, and obtain mutual economic benefits. However, in recent years, cooperatives have experienced challenges in maintaining their relevance amidst modern economic developments. Therefore, it is necessary to revitalize cooperatives as a forum for empowering diversity to achieve inclusive growth.
Revitalizing cooperatives is very important considering the strategic role that cooperatives have in inclusive economic development. Some of the problems currently facing cooperatives include low awareness of the importance of cooperatives. The public does not understand the potential and benefits of cooperatives in inclusive economic development.
Thus, we from the Student Cooperative of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga 2023 are holding the Kopma Week 2023 event with the theme "Revitalizing Cooperatives as a Place for Empowering Diversity for Inclusive Growth". This event is one of the activities that is expected to increase students' interest in cooperatives and increase knowledge in the field of cooperative economics.
