Abstract

Nurses are professionals whose role is very close to patients as consumers for hospitals. Nurses, both male and female, are often researched and proven to face work-family conflict which can have an impact on job satisfaction and job performance. Apart from that, it has been previously researched that self-efficacy can be a moderator variable in the direct relationship between the influence of work-family conflict on job performance. This research aims to determine the direct influence of work-family conflict on job performance, determine the influence of work-family conflict on job performance which is mediated by job satisfaction, and determine the moderating influence of self-efficacy on the influence of work-family conflict on job performance. The work-family conflict referred to in this research is divided into work interference with family and family interference with work according to the concept of several experts. The results of the research show that work interference with family has a significant negative effect on job performance, family interference with work has a significant negative effect on job performance, work interference with family has a significant negative effect on job performance through job satisfaction, family interference with work has a significant negative effect on job performance through job satisfaction. This research also found that self-efficacy was proven to not significantly moderate the direct relationship between work interference with family on job performance and the direct relationship between family interference with work on job performance.
