The Master of Economics program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, was established in 2008, designed to sharpen students' analytical and critical thinking on current economic issues. The program is currently preparing for AACSB international accreditation, reflecting a commitment to strengthening academic quality and global competitiveness. Students may deepen their study specialization through elective courses spanning public, international, monetary, development planning, and resource and environmental economics. Graduates are prepared to become economists who advance economics through research, apply theories and models grounded in data and digital technology, and provide solutions to economic challenges through multi, inter, and transdisciplinary approaches.
- Students are able to critically analyze microeconomic and macroeconomic issues using advanced economic frameworks and evidence-based reasoning.
- Graduates demonstrate ethical reasoning, professional integrity, social responsibility, and commitment to sustainable development in economic analysis, policy formulation, research, and decision-making processes.
- Graduates are able to integrate theoretical knowledge, empirical evidence, and contextual factors to develop well-reasoned economic recommendations.
- Engage constructively in academic and professional discussions by presenting evidence-based arguments and responding to alternative perspectives.
