Overview

The Macroeconomic Theory course is designed to (1) provide analytical tools and a modern macroeconomic framework for understanding consumption, savings, investment, labor markets, economic growth, inflation, unemployment, business cycles, monetary policy, and fiscal policy. These analytical tools and macroeconomic models are used to interpret macroeconomic data and analyze macroeconomic policies; (2) train students to think critically about determining macroeconomic outcomes rather than decisions made by policymakers; (3) develop students' discovery skills. In learning, current news and issues in the global economy are emphasized so that students can be aware of the latest developments in the global economy.
