Overview

The Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in economics. The Department has gained international recognition through the QS World University Rankings by Subject Economics & Econometrics 2026, ranking #197 globally and #2 in Indonesia. Its study programs have been accredited as Excellent by LAMEMBA and internationally accredited by FIBAA. The Department also collaborates with leading strategic institutions, including the Indonesian Economists Association (ISEI), Bank Indonesia, and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, in education, research, and community engagement. At the undergraduate level, the Department offers an International Undergraduate Program (IUP) featuring a double degree scheme in collaboration with an overseas partner university.

Overview

The Department of Management at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, was established in 1954, managing undergraduate, master of management, master of science in management, and doctoral programs in management. The department is ranked in the QS World University Rankings by Subject Business and Management Studies 2026 at #301-350 globally and #4 nationally, holding Excellent accreditation from LAMEMBA and international accreditation from FIBAA. It boasts a strong industry network and maintains close collaborations with strategic institutions such as Pelindo, Semen Indonesia, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and numerous regional government agencies in the fields of education, research, and community service. Furthermore, the department plays an active role in the Indonesian Management Forum (FMI) and participates in various international conferences. At the undergraduate level, an International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is available, offering a Double Degree scheme in partnership with global universities including Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Massey University New Zealand, the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City, Montpellier Business School, and Monash University Australia.

Overview

The Department of Accounting at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, offers Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs, as well as the Professional Accountant Education Program. The Department of Accounting is ranked #151–200 globally and #2 nationally in the QS World University Rankings by Subject for Accounting and Finance 2026, holding Excellent accreditation from LAMEMBA along with international accreditation from FIBAA. The curriculum implemented across study programs under the Department refers to the IES-IFAC (International Education Standards–International Federation of Accountants) international standards, supported by close collaboration with the Indonesian Institute of Accountants (Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia/IAI) as well as a network with industry, financial regulators, and government institutions, including KPMG, PwC, Parker Russel, RSM, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and Regional Government Institutions. At the undergraduate level, an International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is available under a double-degree scheme, with partners including Saxion University of Applied Sciences, The University of Western Australia, Massey University New Zealand, and Monash University Australia.

The Department of Shariah Economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, was established in 2007, managing undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs in Islamic economics. The department strongly contributes to the Faculty's QS World University Rankings by Subject standing in Accounting and Finance, Business and Management, and Economics and Econometrics. It holds Excellent accreditation from LAMEMBA and international accreditation from FIBAA, backed by strong ties with the Islamic finance industry at home and abroad, such as INCEIF Malaysia (International Centre for Education in Islamic Finance). An International Undergraduate Program (IUP) is available with a double-degree scheme.
