Overview
The philosophy of economics encompasses discussions of the conceptual, methodological, and ethical aspects related to the discipline of economics. The primary focus is on methodology and epistemology, encompassing the methods, concepts, and theories developed by economists to arrive at what is called "science" about economic processes. This course also discusses the ontology and axiology of economic phenomena, as well as how ethical values are part of arguments in economics, such as welfare, justice, and the existence of trade-offs among available choices.
