Third Place in Telkom Accounting Competition 2019
Telkom University, especially the Bachelor of Accounting study program which is overseen by the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), is a formal educational institution that is responsible for the development of science and economic phenomena in Indonesia and the world.
Accounting is a science that is always used in various fields and various places. The accounting profession aims to make it easier for a company or organization to record, audit and carry out everything related to company transactions.
However, with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 and increasingly advanced technology to facilitate recording and reporting in accounting activities, companies are starting to switch to using machines and information systems, in order to reduce costs. With many companies switching to using technology and information systems, the role of accountants is decreasing. and the existence of accountants is threatened.
The form of participation of the Telkom University Accounting Student Association (HIMAKU) in preparing accounting students to have a competitive spirit in the field of accounting is reflected in the work program of the scientific division, so we hold TAF (Telkom Accounting Fair) activities.
A delegation from Universitas Airlangga with the name UNAIR TANGGUH team consisting of three students majoring in accounting, namely Lintang Sasi Panggayuh, Ida Bagus Gde Adhista Agastya, and Yusuf Daniswara succeeded in getting third place in the 2019 Telkom Accounting Competition (a sub-competition of the Telkom Accounting Fair).
