(FEB NEWS) Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) enthusiastically welcomed the arrival of a group of students from the Salafiyah Wa Tahfidzul Qur'an Ma'had Aly Madarijul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bandar Lampung. The activity, which took place on Tuesday, 15 October 2024, included a campus visit and a small seminar with the theme "Innovation and Development of Sharia Economics in Indonesia", taking place in the Tirtodiningrat Room, Campus B, Universitas Airlangga , Surabaya.
This event was attended by 44 student students and 6 accompanying lecturers, where in the Kecvil Seminar, Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE., M.Si – Head of the Sharia Economics Department, FEB UNAIR, acted as a resource person. In his presentation, Prof. Sri Herianingrum highlighted the latest innovations in the sharia economic sector and its development potential in Indonesia, which is relevant for the younger generation who are currently studying at Islamic boarding schools. It is hoped that this seminar will be able to enrich students' insight into modern sharia economic concepts and increase their understanding of the opportunities and challenges in this sector.
Apart from the seminar, the participants were also invited to tour the campus to get to know the academic environment and facilities at FEB UNAIR more closely. It is hoped that this tour activity can motivate student students to continue their studies to a higher level, especially in the field of Sharia Economics at FEB UNAIR.
This visit is one of the first steps to strengthen relations between FEB UNAIR and Ma'had Aly Madarijul Ulum. Both institutions hope that this collaboration can continue in the form of other educational activities, which will provide benefits for the development of sharia economics and Islamic boarding school education in Indonesia.
