Allah SWT says:
"And let there be among you a group of people who call to virtue, enjoin what is good and forbid what is evil, they are the lucky ones." (QS. Ali Imron 104).
Based on this verse, we as the people of Rasulullah SAW who obey His commands, should be able to invite people around us to a better path, which is in accordance with Islamic law. So, in an effort to invite those who are wise or you could say preaching, a special skill is needed to be able to master the knowledge that will be conveyed to other people.
To support the da'wah and the skills of each individual, the PBA (Al-Qur'an Reading Development) division MOSAIC FEB UNAIR, held an activity as a forum for friends who wanted to develop special skills for speaking in public, namely by holding an event "Islamic Public Speaking" which took place in the Soepoyo Hall FEB Unair. The event took place on March 22 2019 and was open to the public. Attended by MOSAIC's own internal members, students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as students from other faculties.
The material discussed is how to speak in public as well as muqoddimah using Arabic or English and prayers. This activity was carried out by Muhammad Iman R. as Chair of MOSAIC for the 2019 period. We as Muslims must be able to master public speaking well because preachers must also have a way to attract attention.
At least when presenting in front of the class we are able to attract attention with good public speaking. "What is the use of knowledge if it does not expand a person's soul so that it acts like an ocean that holds rubbish. What is the use of intelligence if it does not enlarge a person's personality so that he is more able to understand other people?"
