Optimizing cooperative performance through effective external stakeholder management is the process of identifying, understanding and interacting with parties outside the cooperative who have an interest and influence on the cooperative. Effective external stakeholder management involves collaborative efforts to meet stakeholder needs and expectations, as well as minimizing any negative impacts that may arise.
In the current era, competition is increasingly fierce, so there is no reason for cooperatives to stagnate and remain silent without innovating, especially in relation to the importance of being a pillar of the national economy. With the enthusiasm of the millennial generation to collaborate in innovation for the development of cooperatives, they will be able to answer the challenges of all existing problems. So the role of the millennial generation is very important in making cooperatives in Indonesia become leading innovations so that they can help improve the current economic situation. Cooperatives as people's economic movements and as business entities based on the principles of kinship and economic democracy would be very appropriate if collaborated with optimizing cooperative performance through effective external stakeholder management involving creating mutually beneficial benefits for all parties involved. By meeting stakeholder needs and expectations, cooperatives can gain support, trust and strong partnerships, which in turn can improve the cooperative's operational and financial performance.
Thus, we from the 2023 Universitas Airlangga Faculty of Economics and Business Student Cooperative held the 2023 Kopma FEB Intermediate Education and Training event with the theme "Optimizing Cooperative Performance Through Effective External Stakeholder Management". This event is one of the activities that is expected to increase students' interest in cooperatives and increase knowledge in the field of cooperative economics.
