Open House and FEB Scholarship Socialization(Feb News) Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) again held an Open House and the Socialization of the 2nd S3 Islamic Economics Study Program on Tuesday, April 15, 2025
This activity was opened with a speech from Dr. Wisnu Wibowo , SE, M.Si., as Deputy Dean I FEB Unair, delivered through video shows. In his remarks, he stressed the importance of the role of higher education in encouraging the birth of new thinkers in the field of Islamic economics, as well as welcoming the participation of participants crossing institutions in this activity.
This event presented two main speakers, namely Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE, MA, as Chair of the Islamic Economics S3 Study Program FEB UNAIR, and Dr. Dahlia Bonang, Sei, M.Si., Lecturer in the Faculty of Economics and Islamic Business UIN Mataram as well as alumni of the S3 Islamic Economics Program Feb Unair. Prof. Raditya opened a presentation session with a comprehensive presentation on curriculum structures, guidance systems, academic facilities, and Fibaa international accreditation track records that have been achieved by this program. He also emphasized the superiority of the Collaborative Unair academic atmosphere and supported scientific publications in reputable journals.
The main session was delivered by Dr. Dahlia Bonang, who shared her personal experience during a doctoral study. He explained the initial motivation of choosing Airlangga University as a place of further study, among others due to the reputation of the institution, the flexibility of the study system, and the guidance of lecturers who supported. In his presentation, Dr. Dahlia stressed the importance of having a clear vision and purpose from the beginning of the study, including readiness in preparing a mature research proposal and relevant to the contemporary issues of Islamic economics.
Furthermore, Dr. Dahlia outlines the strategy of completing studies on time in just five semesters. He conveyed tips such as establishing effective communication with promoters, maintaining writing consistency, and actively participating in scientific forums both national and international. He also reminded the importance of recognizing the potential of burnout and building mental resistance, while continuing to maintain academic and spiritual spirit as a pillar of success in pursuing doctoral studies.
Not only that, Dr. Dahlia also shared publication tips in Scopus indexed journals, including techniques of managing literature review, recognizing credible journals, and designing research with strong and applicative structures. He asserted that publication was not an obstacle, but an integral part of the process of self -development as academics and researchers.

Open House and FEB UA Scholarship Socialization
The event was attended by dozens of participants from various higher education institutions in Indonesia, not limited to the Unair academic community. Some participants were recorded from Bandung State Polytechnic, STAIN Mandailing Natal, IIQ Jakarta, to UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. With this activity, Feb Unair hopes to provide a more complete picture of the doctoral study process, while building a communication network between the study program manager and prospective students. This socialization becomes an inspiring and informative space, especially for those who want to contribute to the development of Islamic economics through the educational pathway of the Doctoral level - while expanding access to quality and inclusive higher education for all groups.
