The Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI), is a synergistic national activity to share knowledge which is held on an ongoing basis by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia in collaboration with regional libraries and university libraries in order to increase the insight and competence of library managers throughout the country regarding developments in the application of ICT and technology. digital in the world of libraries. This meeting activity is also intended to provide awareness of the importance of adapting to changes that occur in society as a result of developments in information and digital technology, so that libraries can continue to exist over time.

The holding of the Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) in Surakarta has been postponed for two years due to the still high level of Covid-19 transmission, so that in 2020 and 2021 the KPDI will be held online and independently by the National Library of the Republic of Indonesia. With the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia becoming increasingly sluggish this year, it is hoped that the 13th Indonesian Digital Library Conference (KPDI) in 2022 in the city of Surakarta can be realized offline (onsite), so that the process of interaction and knowledge transfer between speakers and participants can be more maximum, and also have an impact on increasing tourism visits in the hosting area.
