Currently, Indonesia has entered the era of society 5.0, where all industries are required to develop modern technology. All industries must make changes to adapt to modern technology. The era of society 5.0 has had a major impact on industry in various sectors in Indonesia, one of which is the MSME sector. There are several industrial sectors that are experiencing a decline, this is because they cannot keep up with advances in modern technology. Industries must make various changes and utilize technology in their business management strategies in order to remain able to survive. One of the sectors affected by society 5.0 is the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or MSMEs sector. In fact, this industry is a place where people can channel their creative results or other businesses.
MSMEs have developed into an industry that has a very large and crucial contribution to the economy in Indonesia at a macro level. Apart from that, the existence of MSMEs also aims to provide employment opportunities for people in general who do not have higher education. MSMEs in Indonesia are certainly inseparable from the results of community business creativity, such as food and beverage businesses, tourism, services, and include all matters related to creative economics. All these businesses owned by the community are integrated with government resources, to improve economic, social and cultural conditions.
The millennial generation is a generation that takes full advantage of technology in the era of society 5.0. The millennial generation has great potential to advance MSMEs in Indonesia, because they work faster and smarter and are supported by technology. In this way, it is hoped that the presence of the millennial generation will be able to bring MSMEs to continue to improve their development and also be able to create new value in technological developments in the era of society 5.0
Based on the description that has been submitted, we from MARKETING CLUB ON TEACHING (MARCH) will hold a Marketing Plan Competition 2021 by inviting students from all over Indonesia to contribute their creative ideas in developing marketing transformation for MSMEs in the era of society 5.0 with the theme "Actualization Marketing Revolution Of MSMEs in Society 5.0”. Based on this, we as the academic community Universitas Airlangga want to contribute and contribute creative ideas in developing marketing transformation for MSMEs through the 2021 Marketing Plan Competition.
