EKIS FEB UNAIR TEAM WAS SELECTED TO BE PRESENTERS AT THE 6TH ISLAMIC FINANCE BANKING & BUSINESS, AND ETHICS (IFBBE) GLOBAL CONFERENCE 2022 IN KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
The team from the Department of Islamic Economics FEB UNAIR once again had the opportunity to make a live presentation at the 6th Islamic Finance, Banking & Business Ethics Global Conference (IFBBE) 2022. This is the second time the team has had the opportunity to present their scientific work in the global realm after the first opportunity in early May. As with conference agendas in general, the team has gone through several stages before receiving notification of paper acceptance from the organizer.
This exciting activity certainly helps Universitas Airlangga in achieving SDGs point number 4, namely quality education. In line with this, this activity aims to be a means of education and exchanging ideas for students and academics from various countries in the world. The main thing in realizing scientific development apart from funds and facilities is human resources (HR). Taking part in this activity is one way to develop human resource potential in Indonesia to realize the SDGs goals.
This team again consists of 1 lecturer and 2 active students from the Islamic Economics Department, FEB UNAIR. They are Dr. Dina Fitrisia Septiarini, SE, MM., Ak, Mir'atun Nisa', and Putri Pramita. The three of them had the opportunity to make live presentations at the IFBBE 2022 organizing campus, namely the International Center For Education In Islamic Finance (INCEIF University) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The peak of this event will be held on September 5-6 2022.
The holding of this conference is interesting because it coincides with the holding of the 14th International Conference on Islamic Economics & Finance, which is a meeting place for various world Muslim economists and has produced various programs related to global Islamic Economics. By raising the main theme "Inclusion, Ethics and Sustainable Finance for Global Resilience", this event seeks to link the potential of Islamic Economics with the demands of Sustainability to achieve Global Economic Resilience.
Topics discussed in IFBBE 2022 include Financial Inclusion and Socio-economic Outcomes, Financial Inclusion and the Economic/Social Impact of Uncertainty, Ethics and cost of capital, Ethical investment and sustainability, Islamic and Responsible Finance Synergy, and Risk and return performance. The team from the EKIS FEB UNAIR department raised issues related to factors that influence a person's intention to give cash waqf in order to achieve the sustainability of the waqf movement.
It is hoped that the paper presented by the team from the EKIS FEB UNAIR Department can contribute to the scientific development and Da'wah of International Islamic Economics. Papers that have been presented will also be included in the publication process into an international journal published by the organizer later.
