EKIS FEB UNAIR TEAM WAS SELECTED TO BE PRESENTERS AT THE 3RD INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON ISLAMIC FINANCE AND ACCOUNTING (IIFAC) 2022 IN GAZIANTEP, TURKIYE

The team from the Department of Islamic Economics FEB UNAIR had the opportunity to make a live presentation at the 3rd International Congress on Islamic Finance and Accounting (IIFAC) 2022. Before receiving an invitation from the organizers to make an oral presentation, the team had first sent an extended abstract at the end of last April. After that, the team was asked to make payment as a condition for participating in the activity.

This event is related to SDGs number 4, namely quality education. In line with this, this activity aims to be a means of education and exchanging ideas for students and academics from various countries in the world. The main thing in realizing scientific development apart from funds and facilities is human resources (HR). Taking part in this activity is one way to develop human resource potential in Indonesia to realize the SDGs goals.

This team consists of 1 lecturer and 2 active students from the Islamic Economics Department, FEB UNAIR. They are Dina Fitrisia Septiarini, SE, MM., Ak, Mir'atun Nisa', and Putri Pramita. The three of them had the opportunity to make live presentations at the IIFAC 2022 organizing campus, Hasan Kalyoncu University, Gaziantep, Turkiye. This event will be held on 26-28 May 2022.

The topics that are the scope of discussion in IIFAC 2022 include Islamic Finance, Islamic Economics, Islamic Insurance, Islamic Business, and other issues in Islamic Financial Institutions. The team from the EKIS FEB UNAIR department raised issues related to factors that influence public trust in Sharia Peer to Peer Lending (P2P) products in Indonesia.

Apart from a series of paper presentations by participants from various parts of the world, this international congress began with keynote speeches from world figures in Islamic Economics such as Prof. Dr. Mehmet Asutay (Durham University/UK), Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hudaib (University of Prince Murgin/Madina), Prof. Dr. Mosab Tabash (Al Ain University/UAE), and Assis. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (UCSI University/Kuala Lumpur).

It is hoped that the paper presented by the team from the EKIS FEB UNAIR Department can contribute to the scientific development and Da'wah of International Islamic Economics. Papers that have been presented will also be included in the publication process into an international journal published by the organizer later.
