"MIST International Conference and Call for Paper" is an annual event organized by the Management Student Society, a student organization majoring in Management, Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia. Until 2020, the "MIST International Conference and Call for Paper" had been held 16 times, with a different theme each year. For 2020, MIST was held with the theme "Neuromarketing: Generate Reaction, Immediate Satisfaction, Seamless Interaction".
This activity begins with a selection of written works from all registered teams. From the initial selection, 15 teams were selected to advance to the final round which was held in Jakarta, Indonesia. The 15 teams consisted of 12 teams from Indonesia, and 3 teams from Japan, Australia and Singapore. However, due to impossible conditions due to the spread of COVID-19, only 10 teams entered the final round, namely, 8 teams from the University of Indonesia, 1 team from the Bandung Institute of Technology, and 1 team from Universitas Airlangga . The final round was held from February 23 to February 28 2020. During the final round, 3 types of selection were carried out to determine this year's MIST champion. Starting with a Technical Meeting which was held at the Wijaya Conclave, South Jakarta on February 23 2020. The following day it continued with a Presentation of Written Works that had been submitted at CoHive Kuningan Jakarta. Continued the next day with Conference Day 1, where we were required to form a new group to mix with other group members to complete a case study presented by Tokopedia. Conference day 2 then continued on the next day, where we worked together with our respective groups to debate on a topic that had been prepared by the committee. Of the 3 types of selections carried out, the scores from each selection were calculated to determine the winner of this year's MIST. The winners were announced on Friday, 28 February 2020 at the Raffles Hotel Jakarta. Thus the series of events from "The 16th MIST International Conference and Call for Paper" has been completed.
