GIBEI UNP SCIENTIFIC WORK COMPETITION 2018
The Indonesian Stock Exchange Investment Gallery (GIBEI) is a medium for developing financial interests for students and the general public in a campus environment. Activities in this investment gallery involve students from the Faculty of Economics, as daily administrators who hold scientific writing competitions on Capital Markets so that they can become a bridge for students who want to hone their skills in the Capital Markets field.
In order to enliven the Gibei 3 (GG3) Festival, Gibei FE UNP held a "scientific writing competition". Among students, scientific work is something that is no longer foreign. Many creative and innovative scientific works are produced by students. However, not all students are willing to produce a scientific work. Most students are less interested in creating scientific work. One of the reasons is because some of them think it is too complicated to make a scientific work.
The series of events was held on Saturday, November 24 2018, welcomed by Mr. Dr. Efrizal Sofyan as dean of FEB UNP. The participants competing came from various regions, starting from 20 participating teams and then being selected into 5 participating teams, one of which was the Universitas Airlangga team. Various ideas that could solve capital market literacy problems were submitted by fellow competition participants. This was followed by breaks and workshops to motivate students to participate in investing in the capital market. By bringing in a resource person who is experienced in capital markets, namely Mr. Supardi. He said that a student should participate in investing in the capital market because we get many benefits.
Then the event closed with a field trip and a friendly evening on Sunday, November 25 2018. Visited Istano Pagaruyung, Loebang Japan, and a typical souvenir place from Padang, West Sumatra. A lot of history is taught, because every place we visit is a place that holds history in the past. In this case too, we are becoming more solid and feeling more like a family even though we come from different regions.
