GIBEI NEWS - On Friday, October 8 2021, KSPM's six-monthly routine event, namely the Capital Markets School, took place. This time the SPM was held via the Zoom platform with MC Alfiani Alania and two speakers, namely Dyan Fajar Mahardika from BEI East Java and Peni Rahmadani from IPOT Securities. This Capital Markets School starts at around 08.00 WIB and lasts for approximately 150 minutes. This SPM has the theme Invest Now For Better Future. The choice of theme this time was deemed appropriate in accordance with the conditions of Indonesian society, especially students who are still very unfamiliar with the world of capital markets or investment. SPM was held with the aim of providing access to beginners who are interested in the capital market and investment and want to dive straight into it.

The first session was attended by Dyan Fajar Mahardika who works as an executive trainer for the Indonesian Stock Exchange. Mr. Fajar delivered material regarding the introduction of capital markets in Indonesia. In his material, Mr. Fajar explains the origins of the capital market in Indonesia and then explains why you should invest and the benefits you can get from investing. This material is very important for participants who take part in this Capital Markets School webinar who are beginners in the world of capital markets.

Before continuing with the second material with speaker Mr Peni. A question and answer session was provided for participants who had questions and continued with a quiz game via the Kahoot website. This is done so that the webinar held is not only one-way, but interactive for participants. The games provided contain questions that are still related to the material so that participants can review the material that has been given. Apart from that, there are prizes for participants who answer the most correctly.

The second material was filled by Mr Peni Rahmadani who works as an investment specialist at IPOT Securities. In his presentation of the material, Mr Peni explained how to analyze basic shares. Apart from that, Mr Peni also explained how to invest through the IPOT application. This aims to ensure that the participants who attend not only learn investment in theory, but also practice directly.

What's interesting about the Capital Markets School this time is that the participants who attended were not only students, but also private employees, which shows that the reach of Capital Markets School participants has increased. It is hoped that through this Capital Markets School, KSPM FEB Unair can contribute directly to society.
