Disaster Response is a routine agenda organized by the Community Service Department of BEM FEB UNAIR which aims to help communities affected by disasters. This activity can take the form of raising donations to help communities affected by disasters materially, or direct activities to contribute energy to help communities affected by disasters.
Disaster Response has raised funds to help communities affected by the Lumajang Cold Lava Flood with a donation period of 9 July 2023 - 16 July 2023 in collaboration with IZI (Indonesian Zakat Initiative) with a total donation of IDR 766,600. This donation raising action supports SDGs number 1, which aims to end poverty. In a disaster situation, many people are affected economically, and it is hoped that the donations given will be able to help with their basic needs, such as food, clean water and temporary shelter. Furthermore, raising donations also reflects the spirit of cooperation and concern that is closely related to SDGs number 17, namely "Partnership for the Goals." Pengmas BEM FEB Unair, with support from donors, collaborates with various parties to provide assistance to communities affected by the disaster. Thus, Disaster Response activities are not only acts of solidarity, but also concrete steps towards achieving various SDGs goals which aim to create a more just and sustainable world for all.
