Charity Concert for Palu and Donggala brothers
Concern comes from every human being, Indonesia unites with a helping hand among its fellow citizens to neutralize the emerging symptoms. Of course, helping each other is one of the principles of BEM FEB Community Service for relatives who experienced disaster in West Sumatra due to the Earthquake and Tsunami that hit them, especially the residents of Palu and Donggala who last week (5/8/2018) were shaken by an earthquake measuring 7. 0 Richter Scale (SR) based on data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB).
Seeing this, BEM FEB Community Service is raising funds in a unique way than usual. Saturday (13/10) around campus B, community service members distributed food wrappers to local people such as pedicab drivers, parking attendants and street sweepers. The activity known as "Serbung" has become enthusiastic among the people because it has an essence.
Serbung ended, followed by charity concert activities in collaboration with Badokan Surabaya, Soto Ayam and Kremes Surabaya, and Kofie Paste.
"Thank God, the activity went smoothly, with the charity box placed in that place and supported by X-Banner, we were able to reach out a human hand to donate sincerely," said Inatsa Q Ainin, as the chief executive of the charity activity.
The activities carried out in the afternoon until evening were filled with Live Acoustic from students from the Faculty of Economics and Business to attract the public's attention. The Live Acoustic which was held on the 2nd floor of Pujasera Badokan went smoothly. There was a lot of enthusiasm from students to participate in helping with this fundraising. With this fundraising, it is hoped that it can help the victims, at least lightening a little of the burden they bear.
Apart from the serbung activities and charity concerts that have been carried out, we also open donations for people who want to channel their aid to the victims. From the results obtained later, it will be distributed in full to West Sumatra, especially Palu and Donggala.
As a quote from Norman Macewan, "Happiness is not so much in having as sharing. We make a life by what we get, but we make a life by what we give", so it is fitting for us to give a helping hand to those who are in need. It doesn't matter how much or how much we give, as long as it can be of benefit to them.
