Casual Intellectual Chat: Casual Discussions Directly with Experts
Friday, July 24 2020 Department of Strategic Studies and Action (KASTRAT) BEM FEB UNAIR held an Intellectual Casual Talk (BSI) with the theme "Indonesian Economic Recovery: New Normal for Employment". This activity is a semi-webinar concept which is followed by a discussion session between speakers and participants. The speakers at this BSI activity consisted of Mr. Sunarya as Head of the Placement Division for the Expansion of Job Opportunities at the Manpower and Transmigration Service of East Java Province who discussed it from a policy-making practitioner perspective, Mr. Rumayya as a Lecturer at FEB Unair who discussed the topic from an academic perspective, and Mr. Jhon Hardy as a Consultant and Business Practitioner who discussed from a practitioner's perspective as a business executor in the New Normal era.

BSI activities are carried out using zoom media which can be accessed by participants. It was attended by 100 participants consisting of students from various regions in Indonesia. The event was hosted by Zukhruf Febrianto who is also the Chief Executive of BSI activities. The presence of three speakers with different backgrounds made the content of the presentations varied, thus creating a lively discussion atmosphere for both speakers and participants. Presentations and discussions between speakers and participants took place from 19.00 WIB to 21.15 WIB. It is hoped that this activity will provide new insights for fellow students to understand employment conditions in the New Normal era after the Covid pandemic struck.
