Welcome visit is one of the work programs of the external relations department of the Student Executive Board, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . The welcome visit is a place to learn more about the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . Participants in the welcome visit itself were divided into two parts, namely high school/K students and students from other universities as well as from Universitas Airlangga itself. These differences in participant categories also lead to differences in the objectives of the welcome visit itself.
When SMA/K students are participants in the welcome visit, the aim is to find out more about lecture activities at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . The core of the event was the presentation of material from one of the senior officials or lecturers at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University. When presenting this material, students were explained about the various study programs at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . Apart from that, students were also exposed to various paths and tips for becoming students at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga .
Apart from that, a question and answer session was also opened. There are two question and answer sessions, the first is questions for the presenters. Usually the questions asked are about academics at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . Meanwhile, the second session was questions for members of the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga . The questions asked were light questions about the feelings of being a student yourself. Many students were enthusiastic about this question and answer session because they could dig deeper into academics and lecture activities at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga .
Next is a welcome visit with university student participants. Students who come not only come from outside Universitas Airlangga but also students from outside Universitas Airlangga . For example, students from the Faculty of Public Health, Universitas Airlangga , students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Satya Wacana Christian University, students from the Faculty of Economics, Tridinanti University, Palembang, and so on. The purpose of this welcome visit is more directed at a comparative study of the Economics and Business Student Executive Board Universitas Airlangga .
The purpose of the welcome visit with high school participants is different, so the essence of the event is also different. The core of the welcome visit with student participants is a Focus Group Discussion (FGD). However, before entering the Focus Group Discussion (FGD), the work program of each university was explained. During the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) each department from both universities gathered. When this gathering usually starts with a session sharing work programs from each department of the two universities. This was then continued with a question and answer session regarding work programs and activities in general at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga itself. Here the two universities can learn from each other and increase their knowledge about how to run a good work program.
