(FEB NEWS) Universitas Airlangga , whose members are Fauzan Ghaly Mulyanto (Development Economics), I Kadek Yudy Prasetia (Accounting), and Vania Eka Rachmadani (Accounting) named the Amerta Venture group, succeeded in achieving the National Best Rank III in the Field of Investment Research in the National Student Competition in the Field Business, Management and Finance (KBMK) which will be held from 24 to 29 June 2024 at Multimedia Nusantara University, Tangerang, Banten.
The team, guided by Angga Erlando S. E, M.Ec.Dev., succeeded in winning the third best national award after going through three quite tough rounds starting from the preliminary round, semifinal round and final round. In the preliminary round, the Amerta Venture Universitas Airlangga (Unair) team conducted an analysis of SIDOMUNCUL shares, which are quite familiar among the public with their Tolak Angin products. After being selected as the top 10 best and advancing to the semifinals, the Amerta Venture Unair team received a new case, namely the analysis of the company PHAPROS, which is a subsidiary of Kimia Farma, whose name is quite unfamiliar with its products, one of which is quite unfamiliar, one of which is antimo.
The Amerta Venture Unair team was required to present an analysis of the decision within 15 minutes in front of the judges. Then, after being declared to have passed the final stage, the Amerta Venture Unair team immediately obtained a new case to carry out analysis and prepare a presentation file regarding the new issuer, namely HANSOH PHARMA, which is a pharmaceutical company from Hong Kong. This new case for the final stage was released on the same day after the announcement of the final participants at 20.00 with a submission deadline the following day at 06.00. The struggle and spirit of never giving up led the Amerta Venture Unair team to successfully complete the analysis for 10 hours non-stop and make a 10 minute presentation in front of the judges and be able to defend the argument within 15 minutes regarding the analysis that had been carried out.
The National Student Competition in the Field of Business, Management and Finance (KBMK) is a prestigious annual event in the fields of business, management and finance organized by the Indonesian National Achievement Center and the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Technology. This year's KBMK carries the theme of Exploring Opportunities for Responsible Production and Consumption as well as Implementing a Circular Economy in the Era of Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 to Accelerate Inclusive and Sustainable National Economic Transformation within the Framework of Business, Management and Finance. KBMK itself has five competition branches, one of which is the investment research branch. This branch is what the Unair Amerta Venture Team is pursuing, considering their background comes from the Capital Market Study Group (KSPM) FEB Universitas Airlangga which focuses on discussing the world of capital markets. Amerta Venture Unair successfully completed all stages of the competition and advanced to the final stage.
As the Amerta Venture Unair team, they have worked together well and mobilized all their abilities optimally. When the announcement of the winners arrived, they succeeded in getting the National Best III award in the field of Investment Research after competing with more than 100 teams competing in this field. This victory opens up new hopes, especially for the regeneration of Universitas Airlangga 's research and investment sector in the next period.
Apart from that, considering that this is the first time Universitas Airlangga has reached the final in the field of Investment Research, it is hoped that it will bring inspiration and motivation so that in the future it will be able to dominate the KBMK event. As a new player, this achievement will be evaluated, and next year, Universitas Airlangga is ready to fight again with the target of winning more championships.
