IFG FEB UNAIR Public Lecture Progress(FEB NEWS) Friday, 8 December 2023 - Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) proudly, acting as host, successfully held a Campus Visit event with the theme "The Role of the Non-Bank Financial Industry (Insurance and Pension Funds) in the Economy Indonesia." This event, a series of events from IFG Progress, is open to the public, and takes place in the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, 2nd Floor FEB UNAIR.
As is known, the non-bank financial sector, including insurance and pension funds, plays a significant role with a contribution of 23% to the national financial sector. However, financial literacy challenges, technical issues and lack of regulation remain obstacles. IFG Progress and FEB UNAIR are working together to overcome this, providing a comprehensive understanding of the crucial role of the Non-Bank Financial Industry (IKNB) through Campus Visits.
The event was opened by Dr. Nisful Laila – Deputy Dean II FEB UNAIR, presented extraordinary speakers from IFG Progress, namely Ibrahim Kholilul Rohman – Senior Research Associate IFG Prograss, Rosi Melati – Research Associate IFG Progress; M. Alvin Pabowosunu – Research Associate IFG Progress., to discuss the dynamics and challenges in this sector. This initiative is not only to increase student literacy, but also as FEB UNAIR's commitment to supporting the development of the non-bank financial sector in Indonesia.

With the support of IFG Progress, FEB UNAIR hopes to create future leaders who understand the dynamics of the non-bank financial sector. This collaboration is expected to stimulate student interest in careers in the non-bank financial industry and increase public awareness of the important role of insurance. Such as the role of insurance as a risk mitigation instrument, as well as the importance of insurance protection and retirement fund planning. FEB UNAIR believes that synergy between education and the non-bank financial industry can create a conducive climate for innovation and contribute to sustainable economic growth for Indonesia.
