ABSTRACT

Knowledge sharing is an important factor for the company because it involves a series of behaviors that help mutual acquisition of knowledge.
Related to the theory of reasoned action, attitude and subjective norms in knowledge sharing can be affected by factors of social capital, namely social interactions and shared goals. Besides that an increased sense of self-worth within employees will also affect the attitude and subjective norms in knowledge sharing. Attitude toward behavior and subjective norms are factors that strengthen intention to share knowledge, and intentions are the main elements that have a direct impact on the real behavior of knowledge sharing. The research objective was to examine the effect of social interactions, shared goals, and self-worth on attitude toward knowledge sharing and subjective norms about knowledge sharing, and the effect of attitude toward knowledge sharing and subjective norms about knowledge sharing on intention to share knowledge , also the effect of intention to share knowledge on knowledge sharing behavior.
Respondents were employees of PT "X" from four branch offices. The Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis was used to test the research hypothesis. The results showed that social interactions, shared goals, and self-worth have positive significant effects on attitudes toward knowledge sharing and subjective norms about knowledge sharing, and attitudes toward knowledge sharing and subjective norms about knowledge sharing also have positive significant effects on intention to share knowledge. Moreover, intention to share knowledge has a significant positive effect on knolwedge sharing behavior.
