Abstract

This study was carried out with the aim of analyzing the role of transformational leadership on followers' creative performance through a pro-growth working environment, values ​​based developmental interaction capability and psychological empowerment in startup businesses in Indonesia and to test research novelty or the new concept of pro-growth working environment in the model the. This research uses a quantitative design with a Structural Equation Model (SEM) approach or a structural equation model using data analysis tools, namely WarpPLS. The research design used was a survey method, while data collection was carried out using a questionnaire. In this study, the population used was employees of startup businesses in Indonesia with a total number of startup businesses owned of 2,180 startup businesses. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. The number of samples in this study was 270 respondents. This research found that the main determining factor for Followers Creative Performance is Psychological Empowerment. Psychological Empowerment is influenced by two factors, namely Pro-Growth Working Environment and Entrepreneural Values ​​based Development Interaction Capability. The main factors that influence Psychological Empowerment are Entrepreneural Values ​​based on Development Interaction Capability. The implication of this research is that startup businesses must pay attention to the Pro-growth working environment and Psychological Empowerment to increase Followers Creative Performance. Increasing the Pro-growth working environment is needed for startup businesses as a mediation for Transformational Leadership to increase Followers Creative Performance. This can be achieved by paying attention to the Progressive spirit aspect: Togetherness.
