Suaramuslim.net – Kala Cinta Berbalas (KCTB) is the title of a song that I created to remind myself not to expect too much in return for whatever we give to other people. We will often be disappointed, if we always expect other people (be they family, friends, subordinates, superiors, garbage men, security guards, etc.) to return the favor for 'our' kindness (even though in reality it is not us who do good, but Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala who has been kind enough to present the people we help, inspire and enable us to do so).

The song invites myself to be sincere about whatever I give to other people, no matter whether I get a positive response or not. Ikhlas as in QS Al Ikhlash: 1–4, where there is no word sincerity in any verse. What is contained in the letter is realizing the existence of God as a place of dependence, that He presents everything for our good.
Human love does not have to be reciprocated, but loving goodness because of Him will definitely be rewarded.
