(FEB Unair News) Thursday, April 17, 2025 - Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) received a benchmarking visit from the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of North Sumatra (FEB USU) on Thursday, April 17, 2025.
The group from FEB USU was led by Inggrita Gusti Sari Nasution, SE, M.Si., as the Chairperson of the USU FEB Development Economic Study Program. The main purpose of this visit is to conduct a comparative study and gain direct insight from the experience of FEB Airlangga in forming and developing Islamic Economic Study Programs.
The UNAIR FEB Team who received a visit consisted of the ranks of the leaders and lecturers of the Sharia Department of Economy, including:

• Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE, M.Sc. - Chairperson of the Sharia Economy Department FEB UNAIR
• Sulistya Rusgianto, SE, MIF., Ph.D. - Secretary of the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR
• Praise Sucia Sukmaningrum, SE, CIFP. - Lecturer in the Ministry of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR
• Ahmad Fadlur Rahman Bayuny, Sei, M.Sc. IBF. - Lecturer in the Ministry of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR
The discussion was warm and productive, with the main focus on the preparation of graduate profiles, curriculum development, as well as challenges and strategies in the process of establishing Islamic Economic Study Programs. FEB UNAIR lecturers share experiences and approaches that have been applied, including the integration of sharia values in the curriculum and strengthening competencies of graduates that are relevant to the needs of the Halal and Global Islamic Economic industry. 
This activity is expected to be a constructive first step in building a synergy between FEB Airlangga University and USU FEB, especially in the development of higher education in the field of Islamic economics. As an institution that has already carried out the study program, FEB UNAIR is committed to continuing to share the best practices and encourage improving the quality of Islamic economic education in Indonesia.
