The 15th Economic Olympiad is one of the national scale economic olympiad events for high school students of the same level organized by the FEB Universitas Airlangga . This Olympic event, which has been running for 14 years, aims to test students' competence and knowledge as well as introduce the Department of Development Economics among students.
This year, the 15th Economic Olympiad carries the theme "Digital Economy for Developing Countries". This theme was chosen inseparable from seeing the very rapid development of digital technology and will continue to develop over time so that it can influence the existing economic system in Indonesia. The 15th Economic Olympiad consists of various series of events, namely:
Preliminary round: 16 September 2018 which takes place in each region.
Semi-final round:
The semifinal round of the 2018 Economic Olympiad activities on Monday 24 September 2018 at 07.00 WIB – finished at the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga , Surabaya. Teams that qualify for the regional preliminary round will take part in the semifinal round which consists of the following stages:
- ECONOMIC MULTIPLE CHOICE
Each team gets 75 multiple choice questions which are a development of the preliminary questions within 60 minutes.
- ECONOMIC SCRABBLE
Each team gets a crossword puzzle consisting of 50 questions to work on for 60 minutes.
- ECONOMIC SMART
In this round each team will answer 5 questions on Economic Mathematics, Cooperative Economics and Accounting, in the form of descriptions on the answer sheet provided by the committee with a working duration of 60 minutes.
Final round and grand final:

The final round of the 2018 Economic Olympiad activities on Tuesday 25 September 2018 took place at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , Surabaya at 07.30 WIB – finished. The teams that pass will undergo the next stages in the form of:

- RALLY GAMES
The ten teams that qualified for the final preliminary round were conceptualized in the form of Rally Games for 90 minutes, namely post-to-post games played outdoors or indoors but still within the scope of the Faculty of Economics and Business. In the Rally Games there are 5 game posts where 2 teams will be filled in each post. Each team will pass each post with a different opposing team. The five teams with the highest scores will qualify for the Grand Final preliminary round.

The Grand Final round was attended by 5 teams that had qualified in the previous final round. Consists of several stages as follows:

1. CLUE COMPETITION

The first stage is the clue competition. At this stage, each team will be given several short questions and must guess the answers correctly. The accumulated duration given at this stage is 45 minutes.

2. SPEED COMPETITION

The next stage in the grand final round is speed competition, namely the speed competition stage using a tool in the form of a bell button, so that the light that lights up first has the right to answer the questions given. The total duration of this stage is 45 minutes.
3. ECONOMIC CONTENT
At this stage, each team that passes to the semifinal stage must create wall material containing topics about the digital economy and collect it at the semifinal stage in Surabaya.
4. ECONOMIC CONTENT PRESENTATION
In this final stage, each team will present the wall magazine that the team created previously at the Economic Content stage, then a question and answer session will be held by the jury.
