On 18-19 September 2020, the Airlangga Creativepreneur Competition was held, which is one of the Creative Economy Department's work programs in the form of an entrepreneurship competition in the business sector. This competition was attended by various students from all universities in Indonesia, such as the University of Indonesia (UI), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Gajah Mada University (UGM), and so on. By holding ACTION activities, it is hoped that it can become a forum for developing the skills of Indonesian students in business so that they can produce creative and innovative products so that they can produce young Indonesian entrepreneurs.
ACTION 2020 carries the theme "Challenges of sociopreneurs in facing the era of industry 4.0 for a developed Indonesia". For the selection stage, participants first submitted papers online and were then selected into 15 teams. Teams that pass will be notified via e-mail and Instagram feeds of the official ACTION account to take part in the Technical Meeting on September 18 2020. On September 19 2020, each team will present the papers they have submitted to the judges. The entire ACTION 2020 series was carried out online via Zoom media due to the pandemic conditions.
The event continued with webinar activities hosted by Dewi Kumala Putri with Mrs. Eva Bachtiar ST who is the Co-Founder and CEO of Garda Pangan and accompanied by Laila Hidayat as moderator. The material presented was about how important it is to process food waste which is currently widespread in big cities such as Surabaya and Malang. Then at the end of the webinar there was a question and answer session as well as announcements and awards for the competition winners. At ACTION 2020, 1st place was won by the Cahaya Agri Core Team from Universitas Airlangga , whose members were Andrew Alvaro Harun, Eva Cipta Laras Kasih, and Enina Patricia. Then 2nd place was won by the KIM Team from the Bandung Institute of Technology, whose members were Zakiyah Artanti Ratnadewi, Muthia Rahmah Delfi, and Fadhilah Istiqomah. Meanwhile, 3rd place was won by the Berflower Team from Brawijaya University with members Sekar Illiyyin, Annisa Jasmine Sjachputri, and Salma
Ramadhani.
By holding the ACTION 2020 activity, Nevinda Yogastyawan as the person in charge of the activity hopes that in the future ACTION can develop further and that the ACTION activity participants can realize their business ideas and gain new insights from this activity.
