(Feb News) Monday, February 17, 2025 - Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) together with the Blockchain Association and Indonesian Krypto Asset Traders (Aspakrindo) held a Roadshow of the Crypto Literacy Month 2025 Goes To Surabaya !! The event was supported by the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Commodity Futures Trading Supervisory Agency (BAPPEBTI), and Central Financial X (CFX). The aim is to increase understanding for students as well as the public about safe digital asset investment, as well as providing in -depth insights about the latest regulations in the crypto industry.

The event opened with Welcoming Remarks by Dr. Wisnu Wibowo - Deputy Dean I FEB Unair, which emphasizes the importance of digital financial literacy for the younger generation, especially in understanding risks and opportunities in the rapidly developing crypto industry.

Followed by Keynote Speech by Horas VM Tarihoran - Director of PEPK and LMS OJK Office of East Java Province, which highlighted the transition of the authority of crypto asset supervision from Bappebti to OJK since January 10, 2025. In his speech, he stressed that the OJK had a vision to create a crypto asset ecosystem It's safer, more transparent, and innovative, by emphasizing aspects of consumer protection and risk management.
The main session in this event was a panel discussion titled "Blockchain Basics: Let's Understand Krypto Wisely", which was hosted by Shania Lebang, - Strategic Partnership Association of Blockchain Association and Indonesian Crypto Asset Traders. This discussion presents three main panelists:
1. Mr. Mohammad Naufal Alvira - Vice President of Business Development Indodax, which discusses the readiness of novice investors in entering the world of crypto assets and the importance of utilizing Indodax Academy as a source of education.
2. Mr. Ludy Arlianto - Head of the OJK Digital Financial Innovation Group (GIKD), which emphasizes that although the crypto industry is developing rapidly, financial literacy remains a major factor in reducing investment risk. The latest regulations from OJK focus on investor protection, better governance, and strict risk management.
3. Mr. Wan Muhammad Iqbal - Tokocrypto Chief Marketing Officer, who explained various educational programs that have been carried out by Tokocrypto to avoid misconceptions about crypto assets and building better understanding among novice investors.
Discussions are packaged interactively by discussing three main aspects:
- Risk mitigation strategy in crypto investment.
- The latest regulations that regulate digital asset ecosystems in Indonesia.
- Criteria for choosing a safe and trusted investment platform.
The enthusiasm of the participants was so high, seen from the many questions raised related to investment strategies as well as security aspects in transacting digital assets.
This event provides very valuable insight for FEB Airlangga students, especially in understanding the challenges and opportunities in the world of digital investment. Students can learn directly from industrial experts regarding how to develop a safe investment strategy and in accordance with regulations. In addition, this event is also a forum for students to expand networks with professionals in the fields of financial technology (fintech), blockchain, and crypto assets.
Through this event is expected to provide comprehensive digital financial literacy, students and the public can better understand the risks and investment opportunities of digital assets. Moreover, it is hoped that through collaboration between academics, regulators, and industry, this event strengthens the more transparent, innovative, and sustainable digital asset asset ecosystem.
The event was closed with a closing speech by the Chairperson of the Blockchain Association and Indonesian Crypto Asset Traders, which emphasized the importance of collaboration between academics and industry in building strong digital financial literacy in Indonesia.
With the implementation of the Crypto 2025 Literacy Roadshow Goes to Surabaya !!, FEB UNAIR is increasingly showing its role as an adaptive educational institution to the times, and contributing to creating a generation of young and responsible young investors in the digital era.
