International Lecturer Series: Adapting Strategy Dealing with Pandemic, with Assoc. Prof. Datin Dr. Nor Liza Abdullah from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia

During the COVID 19 pandemic, the business environment experienced many changes. In an effort to provide additional knowledge regarding the development of management science during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Management Department Universitas Airlangga is presenting a series of guest lectures inviting international lecturers.

This second guest lecture was held on Saturday, September 25 2021 with our international guest lecturer, namely Assoc. Prof. Datin Dr. Nor Liza Abdullah from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This session was guided by one of the young lecturers at the Department of Management, Universitas Airlangga , Nurullaily Kartika, SE., MBA.

In this event entitled "Adaptive Strategy Dealing with Pandemic", Dr. Nor Liza Abdullah, summarized strategies that were able to bring companies to adapt during the pandemic, namely strategic cost cutting, streamlining processes, continuing to innovate, changing business models, getting closer to customers, expanding reach in niche markets, and rebranding the company's image.

At the end of his presentation, Dr. Nor Liza Abdullah also reminded us that customers are an important aspect of business during this pandemic. Any changes in information that occur in the business and relate to customers must be immediately informed to the customer. Today's customers rely heavily on the speed and accuracy of the information they receive. Maximizing the use of social media is highly recommended by our speakers to get closer to customers.
