ABSTRACT

Human resources are one of the factors of production that must be considered in an organization, because they are the key to an organization's success in the present and future. Job satisfaction is a key driver of employee morale, discipline, and employees' performance in supporting the realization of organizational goals. Employees are also faced with a very complex life dimension in the work environment, family, personal fulfillment and social life that requires their work-life balance (work - life balance). An organizational commitment psychological state experienced by members of the organization can be seen from loyalty, and how to focus on the goals of the organization members, Their work - life balance and job satisfaction will make employee commitment to the organization.
The purpose of this study was to determine the empirical evidence of the influence of Work - Life Balance against organizational commitment and empirical evidence of the influence of job satisfaction can mediate Work - Life Balance against organizational commitment. This research method uses a quantitative methodology approach, the approach of using the method (analysis) with a statistical sample of 60 employees at PT. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk Branch Surabaya Pemuda with calculations using SEM PLS Warp 5.0.
The results from this study are that Work - life balance has a significant and positive influence on organizational commitment, and job satisfaction as a partial mediation variable where work - life balance can directly influence organizational commitment even without job satisfaction.
