ABSTRACT

Avoidance behavior is done by consumers because sales people often use inspired tactics that are adaptive to consumers. Consumers have some different responses associated with the activity of sales conducted by sales people, one of them is avoid sales people. This research tries to assess what has caused consumers to avoid having the behavior of sales people. The purpose of this research is to know factors influencing avoidance behavior in insurance agents. This research used a quantitative approach. The population of this research is the whole city of Surabaya who have used insurance. Samples to be taken were 197 respondents with the methods purposive sampling. Data collection method used is questionnaire and documentation. The result of this research is that skeptics have a negative influence through trust, skeptics have a positive influence on avoidance and trust has a negative influence on avoidance.
