Abstract

Optimizing operational performance in a business unit is very important so that the business unit can run well by increasing operational efficiency and effectiveness. Research conducted at PT. Pelindo III branch, Gresik operational division, which has three (3) piers, namely Talud Upgak pier, General pier, and Bulk Kering pier, aims to find out the most optimal operational processes using the SimulationArena 10.0 method so that you can then find out the advantages and disadvantages obtained the company through selecting optimal operational processes through cost-benefit analysis. This research analyzes the processes that occur at the port of PT. Pelindo III Gresik branch, created a model, and through scenario testing obtained the most optimal results. The results of data processing and analysis show that the system engineering scenario with queuing pattern arrangement by separating the queues going to the Talud Tegak pier in one line, while the Dry Bulk pier and General Pier in a separate line, will reduce the queuing time of the system, compared to real system of port operations. Meanwhile, the profits and losses received by applying this scenario can be determined by analyzing the cost-benefit obtained by the company.
