Abstract
This research analyzes the influence of job satisfaction on the performance of sugar cane cutters with organizational commitment as an intervening variable at the Padjarakan sugar factory. The performance of sugar cane cutters who have the status of contract workers is very important in the sugar factory process, especially when milling. High job satisfaction results in increased organizational commitment from loggers which will result in increased performance both in quantity and quality. This research is quantitative in nature using path analysis. Data was obtained by surveying 159 logger respondents at the Padjarakan sugar factory. The results of testing 2 hypotheses (H1 and H2) show that both hypotheses can be accepted. H1 = Job satisfaction has a direct and positive effect on loggers' performance. H2 = Job satisfaction influences loggers' performance through organizational commitment as an intervening variable.
Keywords: job satisfaction, organizational commitment, performance of loggers
