In the midst of the rapid development of the digital era, this revolution has a significant impact in the form of increasing competition, especially in the start-up sector and the creative industry in Indonesia. In dealing with this change, public speaking skills are one of the vital abilities to convey messages effectively, using the right methods or media, so that messages can be clearly received and still respect ethical values. To help students prepare themselves to face this challenge, Webs Airlangga is proud to hold an internal public speaking class with the theme "Communication Art: Speak Smart, Speak Right to speak smartly, precisely, and ethically in the digitalization era". This activity aims to hone students' communication skills to be able to speak on target and maintain ethics, both in direct communication and on digital platforms, especially in facing challenges and opportunities for communication in the digital age. Internal Public Speaking Class (PSCI) activities by the UNAIR website can be implemented through strategic planning that includes identification of participants' needs, the preparation of topics and materials that are relevant to the digital age, collaboration with professional speakers, interactive implementation with emphasis on communication ethics and introduction of pitching mechanisms to train participants to convey ideas persuasively. The activity was held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at 18:30 in the Soepoyo Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga. This event is not only relevant to help students convey ideas professionally, but also prepare them to face the world of work and the academic environment that further prioritizes quality communication in the midst of rapid technological developments. By participating in this activity, students are expected to be more competent, confident, and adaptive individuals in answering challenges in the modern era.
We hope that PSCI activities can support the 8th point SDGs, namely the Decent Work and Economic Growth, where public speaking skills can increase career and entrepreneurial opportunities by strengthening the ability of participants to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders. We believe that by improving the quality of UNAIR website internal human resources, we can help encourage the growth and development of our country through productivity and collaboration of members for future career progress. PSCI activities can also be a forum for building an important network and partnership in achieving sustainable development goals, this is in line with the 17th SDGs points regarding Partnership for the Goals. Through sharing ideas and experiences, it is expected that internal website members can support each other and create positive collaboration to achieve various development goals going forward. With this approach, we hope that every internal member of the UNAIR website can get maximum benefits and develop skills that are in accordance with their goals and needs
