SOBI is a work program in the form of business class guidance for WEBS members.
The School of Internal Business aims to provide a forum for active WEBS members in planning and managing a business. The theme of SOBI 2024 this time is "Corporate Finance", it is hoped that by carrying this theme, WEBS members will increasingly understand how to manage finances effectively. This year's SOBI is divided into 3 sessions. SOBI first invited speakers from the Faculty of Economics and Business to provide material on "Corporate Finance" in general, followed by group presentations of the cases given. Furthermore, SOBI collaborates with work programs belonging to the ORG and PR/IT divisions, namely BV & OV. The aim is to see directly the implementation of the material that has been obtained at SOBI on the first day at the company that will be visited. For the last SOBI, we will carry out following the big WEBS work program, namely WEBSVAGANZA. SOBI facilitates materials related to the preparation of the WEBSVAGANZA. The School of Business Internal (SOBI) program organized by WEBS is closely related to the Sustainable Development goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), and SDG 17 (Partnership for Objective).
In accordance with SDG 4, SOBI helps improve the quality of education in WEBS by providing training and workshops on aspects of entrepreneurship and business.
Through this program, WEBS members can gain the knowledge and skills needed to manage a business or start their own business. This will help improve the overall quality of education, by providing WEBS members access to relevant and practical learning in the field of business.: SOBI is also committed to supporting the achievement of SDG 8 by equipping WEBS members with the knowledge and skills necessary to become successful entrepreneurs.
Thus, this program not only helps in creating jobs for WEBS members themselves through the potential to start their own businesses, but also contributes to broader economic growth by increasing the number and quality of entrepreneurs in the community. In line with SDG 17, SOBI promotes partnerships and cooperation among WEBS members by providing a platform for sharing knowledge, experience and resources. Through collaboration in this program, WEBS members can support and strengthen each other in their efforts to achieve WEBS's vision and mission. In addition, SOBI can also potentially establish partnerships with external institutions or individuals to provide additional resources or support the development of better programs.
