COMPANY VISIT 2018: SECTOR VISITS JAVA POS
In order to gain knowledge and insight into the process from journalism to printing in a newspaper company, the Student Press and Publishing Institute for the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (LPPM Sector FEB UNAIR) held a Company Visit 2018. The Company Visit was held on 15 October 2018 and was attended by 25 participants consisting of LPPM SECTOR FEB UNAIR administrators.
In this company visit, the participants visited the Jawa Pos daily company located at Graha Pena, Jalan Jenderal A. Yani No. 88 Ketintang Gayungan, Surabaya, East Java. Before starting the series of events, the participants were gathered at the Graha Pena Surabaya building. Their arrival was greeted enthusiastically by Denis, Editor of Sportaiment Jawa Pos. "Here you have the opportunity to explore creativity and gain valuable experience," he welcomed.
During the event, students were shown sections of the editorial office such as Metropolis, Weekend, Sport, and others. Denis also explained that Jawa Pos not only makes newspapers, but also has forums and events which make Jawa Pos remain part of society. The event continued with a question and answer session. After the question and answer session, the Company Visit participants were invited to take a group photo at the Jawa Post Office, finally Mas Denis handed over a certificate of appreciation to the General Leadership of the LPPM FEB UNAIR Sector. This final series of events took place regularly and participants were directed to immediately start their journey home.
