The use of English as a means of communication throughout the world and has become an international language really encourages all students to have public speaking skills in English. But there are still many students who have not fully equipped themselves with public speaking skills which are very important in the current era of globalization. Therefore, the management of HIMA Management S1 Universitas Airlangga held a workshop activity.
The workshop is an activity to share knowledge as well as provide training to the participants, where this activity discusses the development and training of public speaking, which in turn will be a useful skill for students who want to take part in student exchange programs, continue their education abroad, or prepare for the world of work.
It is hoped that this workshop activity can equip Universitas Airlangga students with public speaking skills and create competent graduates who are ready to enter future levels.
The 2023 Workshop activities have the theme "The Role of Public Speaking for A Higher Level Communication."
This material will be presented by Mr. Derek Keith as a native speaker from the Wall Street English institute. He has skills and experience in public speaking, so it is in line with the objectives of the workshop.
This event will be held on February 28 2023 which will be held via ZOOM Meetings. The duration of the material is 40 minutes and 20 minutes for the discussion session.
