In order to increase the readiness of Master of Science in Management students to face the English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT), HIMA Master of Science in Management (HIMA MSM) Universitas Airlangga is holding the ELPT Series program. This program is an important element in academic preparation, considering that the ELPT test is one of the graduation requirements that students must fulfill.
The ELPT Series is designed in several sessions, each discussing in depth the various aspects tested in the ELPT. In the first series, participants received training on structure, which includes sentence patterns and grammar which are often tested. The second series focuses on reading comprehension, where students are provided with strategies to understand reading texts efficiently. The third series discusses error recognition, which is part of structure and teaches how to identify grammatical errors in sentences.
Each ELPT Series session presents different presenters, each of whom is an expert in their field. The presenters not only provide theoretical explanations but also present interactive exercises, so that participants can practice directly what they have learned.
As part of its commitment to ensure the academic success of its members, HIMA MSM hopes that the ELPT Series can help students be more prepared and confident in facing the ELPT exam and fulfill graduation requirements.
The ELPT Series program is planned to become an annual agenda to ensure students are not only able to fulfill academic requirements, but also have adequate English language skills to prepare for future careers.
