HIMA Master of Science in Management held a Research Series as a program aimed at increasing students' research capacity. This program has three series designed to provide practical and comprehensive training on research methods, publication systematics, and statistical data processing. This program is scheduled to support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure.
The first series with the theme Mastering Systematic Literature Review (SLR) introduces students to non-empirical research methodology with a focus on collecting and analyzing scientific literature systematically. In this session, students not only gain a theoretical understanding of SLR, but are also directly involved in real practice by applying this method. This process includes systematic steps such as literature screening, critical analysis, and compiling a comprehensive literature review.
The second series, with the theme Mastering Systematic Literature Review 2.0, is a continuation of the first series. In this series, students are expected to understand the basics of SLR and be better prepared to start the process of publishing their scientific work. Monitoring the results of practice in the first session will be the focus of discussion in this series, to ensure students are ready to move to the publication stage.
Meanwhile, the third series focuses on the use of statistical software in research. This series is designed to help students who have difficulty processing data related to their thesis or other scientific work. With a practical approach, this series will offer concrete solutions to technical problems that often arise during data processing.
This Research Series program will be staffed by expert presenters who have in-depth experience in their fields, including mastery of research methodology. Thus, this program not only prepares students academically, but also strengthens their contribution to achieving SDGs goals through high-quality research.
It is also hoped that this program will continue to provide opportunities for more students to develop their research skills. Apart from that, the continuation of this program will strengthen the research community on campus and support efforts to create superior researchers who are ready to face global challenges.
