Universitas Airlangga Development Economics Student Association will hold a Community Development program which is coordinated by the Ministry of Social Affairs, the community, and the environment. This program aims to encourage local economic growth, create jobs, and increase community income in an area. In addition, this activity is expected to foster a sense of togetherness, strengthen social relations, and reduce gaps in communication. Furthermore, this program seeks to ensure that people gain better access to education, health services, healthy environment, and broader economic opportunities.
The implementation of this Community Development also contributes to the achievement of the 4th, 8th, and 17th SDGs. This activity functions as a means to empower the community in improving economic, social and environmental welfare. Through this program, people gain access to better education, decent employment opportunities, and support in creating sustainable economic growth. In addition, this activity is also a place to strengthen social relations, reduce gaps in communication, and build collaboration between academics, government, and the community to achieve inclusive and sustainable development.
This activity was addressed to all Staff of Community Development Development of the Universitas Airlangga in 2025. Community Development will be held for seven days, from June 30 to July 6, 2025, at the village of Begagan Limo, Gondang, Mojokerto, East Java.
In its implementation, this activity includes various programs in four main areas, namely economics, environment, education, and health. In the economic field, a revitalization of attractions in the village will be carried out in order to increase the potential of local tourism. In the environmental field, this program will provide education to the public about the importance of water conservation and the application of wise use. In the field of education, curriculum material teaching activities will be carried out at the village school. Meanwhile, in the health sector, a health check will be carried out for the local community.
Indicators of the success of this Community Development are activities carried out for 7 days in 1x departure in 1 management period and programs are carried out in the fields of economics, environment, education, and health at least 1x during the activity.
