Development Economics is a major that has produced many superior graduates in its field. Apart from that, there is a close relationship between alumni and their alma mater, which is proven by several activities involving alumni, such as making infographics, career mentoring, and sharing sessions. Therefore, we from the Public Relations Department of the Development Economics Student Association are holding an "Alumni Room" activity agenda which aims to maintain relations between EP Unair alumni and students.
The implementation of this Alumni Room also supports the realization of SDGs point 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, namely through training in the Alumni Room which improves students' skills and knowledge. The Alumni Room is a place to connect students and alumni, and can create a strong professional network. Alumni who have been successful in the world of work can provide career guidance, help understand industry dynamics, tips for starting work for fresh graduates and find existing opportunities.
The target of this activity is all Development Economics students Universitas Airlangga . The agenda for the Alumni Room this time will be packaged in the form of a casual sharing session, which will be held on-site in the Tirto Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga on 31 August 2024.
This event will begin with a presentation of Power Point material related to the resource person's experience during college, post-graduation, and current career. Next, a QnA session was opened between alumni and students guided by the moderator. Indicators of the success of this Alumni Room are conducting offline sharing sessions at least once and career mentoring at least once.
