The Indonesia International Student Mobility Award (IISMA) is a scholarship scheme from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia to fund Indonesian students to study at well-known universities abroad. Students can spend up to one semester at an overseas partner university to study, learn about the culture of the host country, and do practical assignments to hone their skills. Based on an announcement from the Ministry of Education and Culture, the aim of this innovation is to facilitate Indonesian students to gain knowledge and skills, exchange ideas and culture, and build networks with peers, academics and the international community. With this aim, through this program, students can take up to 4 multidisciplinary courses and take part in various activities at the host university, consisting of 60 world university partners spread across various countries.

This year, IISMA will send 1000 students from all over Indonesia. Universitas Airlangga is one of the universities with the most applicants, and there are 52 Universitas Airlangga students who succeeded in becoming recipients of this award. Nine students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga also passed this program, namely Dewi Nabilah Anwar (S1 Accounting 2018) at the University of Twente, Putri Nabilah (S1 Accounting 2019) at the University of Twente, Vina Kusuma Andriani (S1 Accounting 2018) at Korea University, Elkabyta Auvianty Bintarto (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at the University of Szeged, Salwaa Fauziyyah Jatmiko (Bachelor of Development Economics 2019) at the University of Szeged, Diva Rifda Nabilah (Bachelor of Development Economics 2019) at the University of Sussex, Carina Jesslyn Tjandraatmadja (Bachelor of Accounting 2018) at the University of Edinburgh, Nadiatul Qalbi Amalia Rizqi (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at Nanyang Technological University, and Adma Wahyu Dwi Shania (Bachelor of Accounting 2019) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. The plan is that these students will undergo a study period from August to December 2021.
