The young generation in Indonesia has played an important and inevitable role even before the independence of the Republic of Indonesia. The youth movement first began with the Boedi Utomo association which was founded in 1908 and has inspired the birth of other youth movements with a spirit of idealism until the Youth Pledge was born on October 28 1928. In the critical times leading up to the independence of the Republic of Indonesia, the nation's youth also played a role in urging the older group to immediately proclaim Indonesia's independence in 1945. The Tritura incident in 1966, in 1998 Indonesian youth always took an active part in maintaining the unity of the nation with the strength that lies in the struggle for idealism. This is proven by the reform movement led by youth with the aim of making the Indonesian nation better than before. With the spirit of youth where making changes and creating history is part of youth and remembering that the accounting profession is an important profession in maintaining a good financial system, it is important for accounting students to unite and together increase awareness as well as the quality of prospective Indonesian accountants so that they are able to face global challenges of the accounting profession, moreover accounting students must begin to understand the professional code of ethics from an early age. Therefore, several representatives of Indonesian accounting students who took part in the Pledge of Young Indonesian Accountants had the initiative to create an organization that could accommodate all student organizations without merging or superseding previously established accounting student organizations. The agreed name is the National Congress of Indonesian Accounting Students, an independent organization to represent the voices of Indonesian accounting students, whose aim is to maintain and increase a sense of diversity, a sense of unity, a sense of pride in the profession, a sense of kinship among accounting students in Indonesia and the most important thing is love of country.

The initiation of the formation of the Congress was then voiced to other associations (the Associations can be seen from the logos below) and gave birth to a decision that this organization could not be formed if the existence of the young accountant was not known, therefore it was decided that a moment had to be created where The existence of young accountants in Indonesia was recognized, and Indonesian Young Accountants Day was born on October 26 2018. This date was chosen because it was close to Youth Pledge Day, which was initiated at the Campus II Auditorium (Faculty of Medicine) of Krida Wacana Christian University, Jalan Arjuna Utara No. . 6, West Jakarta. With the procession of reading the Indonesian Accounting Student Pledge and signing the Young Accountant Plaque by 83 Student Associations who are the founders of Indonesian Young Accountant Day and representatives from the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Rina Indiastuti as secretary general of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.

After the establishment of the Indonesian Young Accountant's Day, the Founders of the Young Accountant's Day and several participants in the Establishment of the Indonesian Young Accountant's Day gathered in front of the Auditorium to discuss the continuation of the formation of the National Congress of Indonesian Accounting Students. Due to limited time, the formation of the Congress could not be carried out that day. Therefore, the National Congress of Indonesian Accounting Students is the "testament" of the Founders of Indonesian Young Accountants Day which we must complete this year to commemorate Indonesian Young Accountants Day.

In order to follow up on the vision of the Founder of the Accounting Student Pledge on 26 October 2018 as well as commemorating Indonesian Young Accountants Day, the formation of the National Congress of Indonesian Accounting Students (KNMAI) will be held 25 - 26 October 2019. KNMAI will be held on the Krida Wacana Christian University (UKRIDA) campus , it is hoped that the heads of accounting student organizations in Indonesia will participate in the formation of KNMAI. It is hoped that KNMAI can become a unifying forum for all accounting student organizations in Indonesia that have been established before without merging these organizations, become a place for friendship, a place for self-actualization, a place to voice the voices of accounting students and a place to increase a sense of pride in the profession and a sense of love for the country. . Currently we are coordinating with the State Palace so that we can commemorate Indonesian Young Accountants Day and the ratification of the National Congress of Indonesian Accounting Students at the State Palace by President Joko Widodo.
