In a world that continues to develop and full of challenges, students are faced with demands to have academic and professional skills that are not only qualified in facing challenges in the academic world, but also relevant to industrial needs. Critical thinking skills, sustainable innovations, and effective communication are important factors in building their potential. To support students in facing these challenges, the BEM UNAIR Department of BEM UNAIR collaborates with the Department of Creative Economy presents the Student Business and Achievement Club (SBAC) Academic and Business Mentoring 2025. This program is a forum for students who want to deepen business understanding, develop innovative ideas, and increase their readiness in facing academic and industrial competition.
The SBAC program is designed to be the main place for FEB Universitas Airlangga in developing their skills and insight in the business world and academic competition. With the theme "Idea to Impact: Improve Your Academic and Business Capabilities", this program combines two main aspects that complement each other. With the focus of the Department of Sciences to facilitate training in business plans, business cases, scientific papers, and academic debates, equip students with research, analysis, and mature strategy. Meanwhile, the Creative Economy Department helps form a strong business mentality by presenting insights on business strategies, innovative business models, financial management, and marketing and branding, ensuring students understand the essence of entrepreneurship. With a comprehensive approach, students get an academic and business insight comprehensively, as well as intensive debriefing in a business competition strategy that allows them to compete optimally in various competitive events, both at national and international levels.
One of the excellent programs in SBAC 2025 is Cuankruk, a mentoring session that is packaged in the form of an interactive seminar with a relaxed atmosphere, where FEB students can discuss directly with business mentors who have experienced in their fields. In the inaugural session, Cuankruk 1, a "Business Mentality" theme will be raised, which aims to form a strong business mindset before participants learn more technical material. Many students aspire to build a business since a young age, but often face doubt and uncertainty in taking the initial steps. Therefore, this session will discuss how to build a strong business mentality, strategies to face the initial challenges, as well as how to take advantage of opportunities in the business world.
In addition, academic mentoring SBAC is a program that brings together students with experienced mentors in the fields of scientific papers (KTI), business cases, business plans, and debates. This program is designed with a series of systematic mentoring sessions to equip students with research skills, accurate data analysis, effective arguments, and professional presentation techniques.
This program has several main stages, starting with open recruitment, where students who are interested will go through selection to become metee in this mentoring community. Afterwards, they will take part in the Welcoming Party, which becomes an introductory event between the mentor and metee and the exposure of the program as a whole. The core session of this program is academic mentoring and business mentoring, which is divided into three stages with the hybrid method - the first two sessions are held online, while the last session was held face to face to strengthen interaction and learning. This program will be closed with a closing party as a form of appreciation for participants who have committed to participating in the entire series of activities.
More than just increasing academic skills, academic mentoring SBAC is here to build a learning ecosystem that encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and expand their professional networks. This program also plays an important role in preparing students to participate in various academic competitions at the national and international level, making FEB Airlangga University a forum for competitive and achievers.
The entire series of programs in the academic and business SBAC mentoring is also in line with the sustainable development agenda. By instilling critical thinking skills, strategic communication, and applicative business capabilities, this program contributes to supporting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). SDG 4 (quality education) is realized through the provision of high -quality academic and business mentoring, while SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth) is supported by the provision of business skills that can be applied directly in the world of work. In addition, collaboration with various parties in the academic and industrial world strengthens the achievements of SDG 17 (partnership for purposes). Thus, academic and business SBAC mentoring not only focuses on developing individual skills, but also plays an active role in building a more innovative and inclusive academic environment.
With a systematic learning method, the support of competent mentors, as well as extensive networks, SBAC Mentoring Academic and Business 2025 is expected to give birth to students who are superior, creative, and ready to compete at the national and international levels. This program is not just a series of training, but is a concrete step in shaping a competitive professional generation and is able to contribute to the progress of the academic and economic world of Indonesia.
