KANDANGAN GELORA TEAM MAKES ACHIEVEMENTS AT ABDIDAYA 2024

(FEB NEWS) Jimbaran, Bali – The Ormawa Kandangan Gelora PPK Team from Universitas Airlangga was honored to take part in the prestigious Abdidaya PPK Ormawa 2024 event at Udayana University, Bali. Abdidaya itself is a prestigious annual event that brings together teams of students from various universities in Indonesia, where they compete to showcase community service activities that have been carried out in the last few months. This event is a forum for PPK Ormawa teams to show their real contribution in supporting sustainable development and community empowerment in various regions in Indonesia. This event will take place from 7 to 9 November 2024, on the Udayana University campus, Jimbaran, Bali, with various interesting activities to take part in.

The event opened on November 7 with a technical meeting and preparation of exhibition booths as well as an opening ceremony. On November 8, the 2024 Abdidaya Ormawa Expo was held on the west side of the Widya Sabha building. There, PPK ORMAWA teams from various universities presented posters, videos and innovative products as part of the assessment by a team of judges. This expo takes place from 15.00 to 22.00 WITA. On the same day, the atmosphere became even more lively with the presence of a stage of entertainment and artistic creativity, which provided the opportunity for participants to showcase their artistic talents. The Kandangan Gelora Team from Universitas Airlangga also appeared on this stage, presenting a stunning performance and successfully entertaining the other participants, creating a moment of togetherness and a spirit of solidarity.
On the peak night, Saturday, November 9 2024, the Widya Sabha Auditorium witnessed an awarding night full of emotion and joy. The Kandangan Gelora team, representing Universitas Airlangga , won two prestigious awards: second place in the "Ormawa with the Strongest Sustainability Strategy" category and first place in the "Most Unique Video" category. This achievement confirms their commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially in point number 4, "Quality Education," and number 17, "Partnership to Achieve the Goals."
With this achievement, Universitas Airlangga through the Kandangan Gelora team has proven their commitment to creating a positive and sustainable impact on society and strengthening the spirit of collaboration on a national scale.
