PENGMAS DEPT IE FEB UNAIR TO KEDIRI(FEB NEWS) In the current digital era, online marketing is one of the main keys in expanding market reach and increasing sales. Realizing the importance of this, the Community Service Team, Economics, Universitas Airlangga , which consists of Lecturers from the Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , succeeded in holding a Community Service (Pengmas) program during July-August 2024 by taking the initiative to provide online marketing assistance through social media and marketplace for the Kelud Coffee business in Laharpang Village, Puncu Village, Kediri.

This assistance was carried out in three stages, consisting of initial observation, training and evaluation. In the first stage, the accompanying team made observations to understand the conditions and needs of the coffee business. One of the challenges faced is the difficulty of internet signals in the area, which is an obstacle in carrying out online marketing. Nevertheless, the team is trying to find the best solution to overcome this problem. In the second stage, the accompanying team held a series of training for Kelud Coffee business actors. The first training is about using the Shopee platform, which is one of the largest marketplaces in Indonesia. In this training, participants are taught how to create an account, upload products, and optimize the features on Shopee to increase sales.

Apart from that, the training also includes video editing techniques aimed at improving the quality of promotional content. Participants are taught how to take product photos and videos well, as well as how to edit them so they look attractive and professional. This is very important because attractive visuals can increase the interest of potential buyers. Not only that, the training also includes the use of TikTok as a promotional medium. TikTok, which is currently very popular among the public, has great potential to reach more consumers. Participants are taught how to create creative content that can attract the attention of TikTok users, as well as strategies for increasing interactions and followers. At the evaluation stage, the accompanying team assesses the results of the training that has been provided. From the evaluation results, it can be seen that the participants were very enthusiastic in participating in the entire series of activities. They show high enthusiasm for learning new things related to online marketing.

One indicator of the success of this program is that orders are starting to come in through the platform that has been taught. This shows that the Kelud Coffee business is starting to get attention from online consumers, which is expected to increase sales and expand the market. This assistance not only provides new knowledge for business people, but also opens up new opportunities to develop their business. With support from the Community Service Team, Economic Sciences, Universitas Airlangga , it is hoped that the Kelud Coffee business can continue to develop and provide greater economic benefits for the people of Laharpang Village, Puncu Village, Kediri.

This mentoring program is also in line with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the UN. First, SDG 1 (No Poverty) where this program helps increase the income of coffee business actors which in turn can improve their welfare. Second, SDG 4 (Quality Education) where through the training and education provided, participants gain new knowledge that they can apply in their businesses. Third, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) where this program contributes to creating jobs and encouraging local economic growth.

Overall, this mentoring program has had a positive impact on the Kelud Coffee business. Through comprehensive training and ongoing assistance, business actors are expected to be able to optimize online marketing and utilize digital technology for the progress of their business.
