KPPU Holds Commission Assembly Session at FEB
The Indonesian Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU), in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , held a hearing on case No. 15/KPPU-L/2015 concerning Alleged Violations of Article 22 of Law No. 15 1999 regarding 5 (five) Sidoarjo Regency Public Street Lighting (PJU) tenders for the 2014 and 2015 FYs.
The session which was held on June 16-17 took place in the Tirtodiningrat Hall, FEB Campus. Jalan Airlangga No. 4 Surabaya. According to the Coordinator of the Master of Economics Study Program, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo, this activity was held as a follow-up to the collaboration that had previously been established in the field of teaching, where the KPPU Commissioner had become part of the teaching staff for the Industrial Economics course.
The session was chaired by the Chair of the Commission Panel: Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna P Soemardi, SE, MS and two members of the assembly respectively: R. Kurnia Sya'ranie, SH., MH and Drs. Munrokhim Misanam, MA., Ph.D. This is very important in providing additional insight for students in seeing the application of economic theory in resolving business disputes. In the future, this form of cooperation will be developed and improved further so as to bring benefits to both parties.
